The talk will explore the reality that many family mediators are now moving their practice online. What can we learn from other jurisdictions who routinely conduct remote mediation? From working with parties, what are some of the tips and practices which can optimise family mediation? And finally what are some reflections on the nature of our work in an online environment.

Speaker
Sala works full-time as a mediator focusing on families in Hong Kong. She is an accredited mediator (Australia NMAS) (USA FINRA) (Hong Kong HKMAAL/HKIAC) (UK CEDR). She teaches as an adjunct associate professor at HKU in the LLM ADR Programme (Financial Dispute Resolution / Family Mediation). Sala originally qualified as a solicitor in the UK (1995) and HK (1996). She attended the University of Bristol (LLB Hons) and Pepperdine University (LLM).
