Overview

Women in Arbitration (WIA) is pleased to launch the "WIA Coffee Roulette 2025" series, a platform for arbitration practitioners worldwide to connect with each other and engage in cross-cultural exchange. The events will be held every two months via Zoom.

 

Each event will have two parts:

 

  1. A 30-minute plenary discussion between a WIA host and a guest speaker.
  2. Followed by a 30-minute networking session

 

Our unique networking session in the WIA Coffee Roulette 2025 series is designed to foster meaningful connections. Online participants will be paired in Zoom breakout room for a private and informal chat.

Krystle Baptista is an independent arbitrator and founding partner of KB | International Law & Arbitration in Madrid, Spain. She specializes in commercial and investment arbitration, acting as an arbitrator in proceedings under leading international rules. In addition to her arbitration practice, she serves as a dispute board (DB) member in major infrastructure projects. She is the Secretary General of the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club (CEIA) and actively contributes to the arbitration community through teaching, writing, and speaking engagements. She is an associate professor at IE Law School in Madrid, where she teaches international arbitration. In 2022, the European Commission included her on its list of arbitrators and experts eligible for appointment in treaty-based disputes between the EU and third countries. Krystle holds a Law degree from the University of Navarra, an LL.M. from New York University, and a Ph.D. from Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) and the University of Zaragoza. She is admitted to practice in Spain (Madrid Bar Association) and New York (New York Bar Association). She works in English and Spanish and also speaks French and Portuguese.
