A skilled advocate with more than 12 years of experience, she has worked on disputes across Asia, including in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and South Korea.

Dana is dual-qualified in New York and England and Wales. She also sits as an arbitrator.

Joanne is an Associate Director based in Seoul. She leads Control Risks' operations in South Korea and advises international and domestic companies on risk management solutions. She also leads Control Risks’ reputational due diligence, business intelligence, pre-employment screening, fraud investigation and compliance-related investigations in Korea.

Joanne has extensive experience providing major Korean and multinational companies and law firms with solutions to mitigate risks for their investments and transactions. She supports Korean companies in their overseas projects, helping them to understand and prepare for dealing with complex security matters, conducting threat assessments, providing context on local political and social relationships that may affect the sustainability of their operations.

Before joining Control Risks, Joanne worked for International SOS, working with financial companies’ product development teams and advising on travel risk management solutions for overseas travellers and expatriates.

Kellie Yi is Counsel of HKIAC and Chief Representative of Seoul Office.

Prior to joining HKIAC, Kellie was a Registered Foreign Lawyer at Allen & Overy’s international arbitration team based out of the Hong Kong office. Kellie also worked as senior in-house counsel at Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea where she managed international arbitration and cross border litigation as well as transactional work. Kellie also previously worked at an international law firm in the U.S. and clerked for Hon. Judge Harold R. DeMoss Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.


Kellie’s experience in international arbitration spans Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia as well as all major institutional rules and UNCITRAL proceedings. She has specialised in construction and commercial disputes including those arising under EPC contracts, procurement and security agreements, joint ventures and related supply and finance agreements for major international projects.
