Hong Kong Mediation Council Limited ("HKMCL") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center.


This is a five-day 40-hour intensive program delves into the range of skills required of facilitation mediators through interactive tutorials and role-play simulations. Participants are offered insights into ethical dilemmas, implicit bias, and emotions, and they are trained in tested practical techniques such as active listening, asking probing questions, generating creative options, reframing, overcoming impasse, and formulating sustainable agreements.


This training serves as a preparatory course (so called "Stage 1 Mediation Training Course") for the General Mediator Accreditation by the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited. Participants upon satisfactory completion of the Course may become a HKMCL Associate Member.
