This session will be an introduction to the training course to be launched by CIArb (EAB) in Hong Kong near the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. The discussion will be led by the course director.

6:30 PM - 7:30 PM: The Current State of Adjudication in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong landscape that is Asia's world city continues to grow and evolve, which carries with it no shortage of construction and construction-related disputes. Accordingly, it might be useful to take stock of the current environment in relation to adjudication in Hong Kong. In this regard, a panel of experts will contextualise the use of adjudication in resolving disputes, the role of an adjudicator and provide views on the proposed Security of Payment Legislation.
