Dr. James CHIU, LLB (Hons) Lond, is a mediator and collaborative practitioner. He has over 10 years' experience and has mediated more than 100 cases. James was the 1st Adjunct Assistant Professor of CUHK in mediation courses. He is an Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of HKU and the Vice-chairman of Regulatory Framework Sub-committee of the Steering Committee on Mediation under DoJ. Dr. Chiu has written many articles and book chapters on mediation, negotiation and apologies. James has also chaired/ spoken in around 100 local and international meetings in those areas. He was the Chairman of the Commercial Interest Group from 2014 to 2015

Christopher is an independent mediator, adjudicator and arbitrator who is on the panels of various leading global alternative dispute resolution bodies. He has arbitrated and adjudicated a variety of international cases involving both ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations and adjudications, and has mediated many international and domestic cases to date. After joining the Bar, he has represented clients in a variety of arbitrations as counsel.

Christopher has written a variety of articles and publications in the areas of arbitration, adjudication, mediation, corporate governance and internet domain names and continues to write in these areas.

As former Secretary-General of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, he managed to elevate Hong Kong’s status as the regional dispute resolution hub of Asia by increasing the number of international dispute cases being referred to Hong Kong for amiable resolution as well as creating the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre, a body that has gain international prominence within the dot.com community as a reliable, trustworthy, independent and reputable entity that manages domain name disputes. Prior to joining the Bar, he was the inaugural Executive Director of the Construction Industry Council, a position he held for 8 years, to which a variety of prominent achievements were made, including the renowned “Zero Carbon Building” an icon of the Build Environment that has been recognized globally.

Christopher has a board practice and accepts instructions in all areas of work with emphasis on arbitration, adjudication and mediation.

Mr Norris Yang is a Partner at J.E. Jamison & Co. (a member of the Deloitte Legal Global Network) and the founder of ADR International Limited. He specialises in international commercial law, mediation and arbitration.

Mr Yang is recognised as one of the world's leading commercial mediators by Who's Who Legal annually since the list was first complied in 2012. He is the first Hong Kong lawyer listed on the International Panel of Distinguished Neutrals of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution in New York. He is the first Asian on the Panel of Mediators for the International Mediation Institute in The Hague.

Mr Yang was the Chairman of Hong Kong Mediation Council and Ex-Officio Council Member of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre from 2003 to 2006. He is currently an accredited mediator of Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited, the Law Society of Hong Kong and the HKIAC. He is also a Panel Arbitrator of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and Zhuhai Court of International Arbitration.
