We are now arranging the one day updated course specifically for those who successfully completed the 2015 Adjudication Training Course.


Completion and passing of the 2015 Course and the one day updated course will allow participants to be eligible for membership on HKIAC's panel of adjudicators under the Ordinance, subject to the eligibility criteria for adjudicators published by the Development Bureau of the HKSAR (the "Development Bureau") and HKIAC's confirmation as an Adjudicator Nominating Body.


We take this opportunity to draw potential participants' attention to the basic eligibility criteria of adjudicators which have been published by the Development Bureau, including the following professional qualifications which are required:-


  • Architect, Engineer, Surveyor with HKIA Membership/HKIE/HKIS Corporate Membership;

  • Registered Architect/Registered Professional Engineer/Registered Professional Surveyor; or


  • Legal professional holding a valid practicing certificate issued by Law Society of Hong Kong/Hong Kong Bar Association.

All adjudicators will also need to have at least 7 years of post-qualification experience in contract administration related experience, with a minimum of 5 years of local experience in preparing/assessing contractual claims or dispute resolution relating to construction contracts to be eligible to be on the panel of adjudicators.
