We are delighted to invite you to a special event, co-organised by HKIAC and Peter & Kim, where we will be joined by Dr. Mariel Dimsey, Secretary-General, HKIAC and Kevin Kim, Founding Partner at Peter & Kim. Dr. Mariel Dimsey and Mr Kevin Kim will discuss “Hong Kong’s unique strengths as a seat of International Arbitration”.

Hong Kong’s continued appeal and growing role as a centre for dispute resolution is increasingly visible. In 2022 HKIAC had the highest number of new arbitrations in over a decade, with 344 arbitrations commenced. The rising number of arbitrations, most of which involve multiple parties across several jurisdictions, highlights the increasing complexity of global business.

In this session, Dr. Mariel Dimsey shall present Hong Kong as a seat of international arbitration, encompassing various facets including but not limited to the Interim Measure Arrangement between Hong Kong and Mainland China, Third-Party Funding, and the resolution of intellectual property disputes. Additionally, Mr. Kevin Kim will impart valuable insights gained from his extensive experience in arbitrating in Hong Kong.

Please join us for what promises to be an insightful and enjoyable afternoon of discussion and networking.
