About

The Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), in collaboration with the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) for the third time, is thrilled to present the Asia edition of the ASA Arbitration Retreat. This special edition will take place in stunning Bali, Indonesia, uniting our arbitration communities for a unique and enriching experience.

The ASA Arbitration Retreat follows a well-established format originally developed by ASA in 1997, refined over the years through collaborations with other leading arbitration associations and institutions in Europe and Asia.

Over the course of two days, the retreat will feature engaging sessions led by seasoned practitioners, delving into key phases of arbitration. Using real-world examples from past cases, discussion leaders will guide debates designed to highlight the diversity of approaches in international arbitration, foster innovation, and encourage cross-cultural understanding.

Tailored for experienced arbitration professionals, this retreat offers an unparalleled opportunity to deepen your expertise through interactive, participant-driven discussions, free from traditional lecture-style presentations.

The seminar will be conducted in English.

We look forward to welcoming you to Bali for an unforgettable exchange of ideas and perspectives!

Who should attend?

This is not a seminar for true beginners. It is designed for those who wish to continue building on their international arbitration knowledge and practice and to benefit from the discussion leaders' combined experience and expertise, acquired in a great variety of arbitration proceedings in different jurisdictions. Participants themselves contribute to the debate with their own experience, questions and ideas.
