理想的WIA委员会成员须满足如下条件：

• WIA会员；
• 认同 WIA 的理念和愿景；
• 贡献有效工作时间和承担实质性工作；
• 仲裁、法律和商业领域的资深人士（10 年以上相关经验）；
• 确保参与定期工作会议；
• 扩大 WIA 在不同圈层的影响力；
• 任期内至少组织 WIA 和一个新的机构/行业/产业/区域合作一场活动；或者
• 任期内至少发起设立 WIA 一个新的工作组且负责实施形成报告。

The ideal WIA Committee member must satisfy the following conditions:

• WIA member;

• A senior practitioner of arbitration/ law/business (over 10 years of relevant experience);
• Be willing to participate in regular working meetings;
• Extend the reach of WIA in different fields;
• Organise at least one event for WIA to collaborate with a new organization /sector /industry /region during the term; or
• Initiate at least one new WIA working group during the term and be responsible for finalising the group's report.

The ideal WIA Executive Committee member must satisfy the following conditions:

• WIA member;
• Align with WIA's vision and aim;
• Contribute effective working hours and undertake substantive work;
• A young practitioner of arbitration/law/business;
• Be willing to participate in regular working meetings;
• Extend the reach of WIA in different fields;
• Undertake responsibility for posting and curating content on WIA's social media channels (including WIA WeChat Official Account, LinkedIn and others);
• Undertake responsibility for WIA's weekly international arbitration digest;
• Be in-charge of organising WIA events;
•   Participate in WIA's research and reports writing.

仲裁女性俱乐部（Women in Arbitration, WIA）由香港国际仲裁中心于2018年2月倡议发起。该倡议致力于促进女性在国际仲裁及国内相关领域的发展。WIA通过举办各类活动和研讨会提供平台供从业者思考和探讨当前热点话题，发展网络和业务关系，并培养下一代的领先女性从业者。

Women in Arbitration ("WIA") was launched by Hong Kong International Arbitration Center in February 2018. The initiative is committed to the promotion and success of female practitioners in arbitration and related areas. WIA provides a forum for members to consider and discuss current topics, grow networks and business relationships, and develop the next generation of leading female practitioners.

WIA委员会的职能包括制定政策、策划活动以及提升仲裁及中国相关业务领域中的多样性。分布各地的WIA委员会成员亦有助于扩大WIA影响范围。WIA执行委员会负责配合委员会成员施行政策并筹办活动。 

What is WIA Committee?

The responsibilities of the WIA Committee include developing and shaping policies, organizing activities to strengthen and promote gender equality, diversity, and inclusion in arbitration and related areas in China. WIA's Committee members come from all parts of the world with a view to expand the WIA's scope of influence. The Executive Committee will work and cooperate with the Committee in respect of the implementation of policies and the organisation of activities.

Since its launch in February 2018, WIA has organised events in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong and Shenzhen .

Activities include roundtable discussions, debates, and social events covering technical topics relating to arbitration, as well as subjects addressing professional and personal development, arbitration in Intellectual Property dispute, the appointment of arbitrator, deliberation, and virtual advocacy.

• 2020年9月，WIA启动"中国文化背景下的仲裁员任命的多样性调研​"。截止到目前，有15家中国内地仲裁机构以及300位个人参与调研。调研初步成果已于2022年3月8日"迈向五周年：仲裁女性俱乐部上海论坛​"公布，调研完整报告将于2022年10月公布。
• 2021年6月，WIA启动"WE GROW导师和辅导项目​"，由10位仲裁业界的资深导师指导10位青年从业者发展其职业。该项目入围"2022年GAR年度：保障仲裁平权​"奖项的提名。

我们期待并欢迎新一届的委员会成员发起新的工作组，共同致力于女性在仲裁及相关领域的发展和成功。

• In September 2020, WIA launched the Task Force regarding the diversity in the appointment of arbitrators in China​. As of now, we have received 15 responses from institutions and around 300 responses to our questionnaire from individuals. The partial report was released on "Towards the 5th anniversary: WIA Shanghai Conference​" on 8 March 2022 and the full report will be released in October 2022.
• In June 2021, WIA launched the "WE GROW Mentorship and Coaching Programme​", in which 10 senior arbitration mentors guide 10 junior practitioners in developing their careers. The programme was nominated for Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge in Global Arbitration Review Awards 2022.​

We look forward to working with the new Committee Members in launching other Task Force to collaborate on the development and success of women in arbitration and related area.
