Mr. Maurellet is a Hong Kong born Eurasian. A member of DVC, and an Associate Member of 3 Verulam Buildings in London, he was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2000 and to the Inner Bar in 2016. He was admitted in 2020 as a solicitor of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, British Virgin Islands circuit. He is also a registered foreign lawyer with rights of audience in the Singapore International Commercial Court. He has advised and acted in numerous shareholder disputes, winding up petitions, and applications arising out of liquidations of companies. He regularly appears as counsel in arbitrations, and has acted in Court related proceedings such as injunctions in aid of arbitral proceedings. He also sits as an arbitrator from time to time. He is also a CEDR accredited mediator. He currently is a Council member of the HKIAC as well as a former member of its Appointments Committee.
Mr. Ling has been a member of DVC since 1999. As a barrister, Mr. Ling’s practice encompasses a broad range of civil and commercial matters. His practice has a special focus on IP litigation, arbitration and mediation. He has been singled out by Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2021) as a leading junior in IP disputes where he is described as “hardworking with strong attention to detail, he is highly commercial and pragmatic.” Mr. Ling is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is registered on the list of arbitrators and the Panel of IP Arbitrators at the HKIAC where he is also a member of the Domain Name Dispute Resolution Panel. He has appeared as counsel in arbitration as well as sitting as a sole arbitrator. He is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Hong Kong Mediation Council and the Vice-Chairman of the Mediation Committee of the Hong Kong Bar Association.
Ms. Lam of DVC is recognized as a leading senior junior barrister whose practice spans all aspects of contentious commercial disputes (including domestic and international arbitrations), administrative and constitutional law, competition, securities and regulatory litigation. She has represented domestic and multinational clients operating in a wide range of industry sectors. She is experienced in handling highly complex disputes, and has been described as being “great for matters which concern very difficult facts and evidence”. Ms. Lam has been “widely identified as Hong Kong’s front runner for competition matters” (Chambers & Partners 2020). She is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Bar Association’s Special Committee on Competition Law, Vice-Chairman of the International League of Competition Law, Hong Kong Chapter, and a Non-Governmental Advisor to the International Competition Network.
Ms. Wang is Counsel in HKIAC’s arbitration team. She has handled over 100 administered arbitrations under the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, and ad hoc arbitrations undertaking appointing-authority tasks.
Prior to joining HKIAC, Ms. Wang worked as an attorney at international and PRC law firms in Beijing and Hong Kong, specializing in cross-border dispute resolution. She also previously interned at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.
