Mr. Kallipetis is the President of the International Academy of Mediators. He was the first Chairman of the England and Wales Bar Council ADR Committee, a member of the working party which drafted the EU Code of Practice for Mediators, and gave expert opinion to JURI, the legal service committee of the European Parliament, prior to its adopting the European ADR Directive, and was a representative at the UNCITRAL Working Group II which drafted the Singapore Convention for the Enforcement of International Commercial Mediation Settlement Agreements. In 2012, he was invited to join the Singapore Mediation Centre’s International Panel of Mediators. He is currently a full time mediator at Independent Mediators Ltd, London. He was recognized by Who’s Who Legal as a Thought Leader in 2016 and 2017 and as Mediator of the year in 2017.
Mr. Ling has been a member of DVC since 1999. As a barrister, Mr. Ling’s practice encompasses a broad range of civil and commercial matters. His practice has a special focus on IP litigation, arbitration and mediation. He has been singled out by Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2021) as a leading junior in IP disputes where he is described as “hardworking with strong attention to detail, he is highly commercial and pragmatic.” Mr. Ling is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is registered on the list of arbitrators and the Panel of IP Arbitrators at the HKIAC where he is also a member of the Domain Name Dispute Resolution Panel. He has appeared as counsel in arbitration as well as sitting as a sole arbitrator. He is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Hong Kong Mediation Council and the Vice-Chairman of the Mediation Committee of the Hong Kong Bar Association.
Professor Golann has been a mediator and teacher of dispute resolution for more than 25 years. He has resolved complex legal disputes in a wide variety of subject areas, and is the author of the American Bar Association’s leading books on commercial mediation technique, “Mediating Legal Disputes”, and “Advocacy: Sharing a Mediator’s Powers”, as well as other texts. A Professor of Law at Suffolk University in Boston, he has led trainings for federal and state courts, the U.S. Departments of Justice and State, Federal Judicial Center, European Union, and ADR organizations around the world. He is currently Scholar-in-Residence for the International Academy of Mediators (IAM). He is a graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Law School.
Ms. Sin is a solicitor in Hong Kong with substantial experience in a wide range of commercial disputes and she embarked on a full-time mediation practice in 2011. She is accredited by various local and international bodies, including the HKMAAL, the International Mediation Institute and the United Nations Global Mediation Panel. Ms. Sin is also an adjunct professor of the HKUSPACE where she teaches accredited mediation courses and leads in other negotiation training programs. She is a Distinguished Fellow of the IAM and is currently the Secretary of the IAM’s Board of Governors.
