Briana has over 15 years' experience in international arbitration, first as counsel and now as a foreign legal consultant and professional support consultant in Herbert Smith Freehills' Greater China international arbitration team. She is also an experienced tribunal secretary, and sits as arbitrator.

Jörn Eschment is a Senior Vice President with responsibility for Burford’s litigation finance activities in Europe and Asia. Dr Eschment leads Burford’s investment arm in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and specializes in assessing, underwriting and managing arbitration, antitrust and commercial litigation matters. Prior to joining Burford, Dr Eschment practiced international commercial arbitration and litigation at Herbert Smith Freehills in Hong Kong and at Schellenberg Wittmer in Zurich, representing clients in complex multi-jurisdictional disputes with an emphasis on energy, natural resources, construction and infrastructure.

Raymond is the General Counsel, International, of China Tourism Group Corporation Limited with oversight of the legal and compliance, enterprise risk management, corporate governance, international and regulatory affairs of the Group’s business units, operations, and strategic initiatives around the world.

He has received various industry awards over the years and was recognized as one of the most influential and innovative corporate counsels in China and Hong Kong (Legal 500 GC Powerlist) in 2017.

Raymond is a graduate of Columbia Law School, New York, and The Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program for Senior Executives.

Tom Christopher Pröstler acts in international arbitration proceedings under all major arbitration rules, in particular ICC, DIS, HKIAC and UNCITRAL Rules. He has special expertise advising clients with regard to large infrastructure and plant construction projects and on technology related disputes. A further focus of his practice are conflicts between western and Asian parties, and he has good expertise in distribution, corporate, white-collar crime and post-M&A matters. He moreover acts before state courts, in alternative dispute resolution proceedings and as arbitrator.

Kitty Zheng is an associate in Shearman & Sterling’s International Arbitration Group. She frequently acts as counsel in commercial disputes and investment treaty arbitrations, including proceedings conducted under the auspices of the HKIAC, ICC and ICSID. Her experience includes disputes related to energy, construction, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and investment funds. She also represents parties in arbitration-related court proceedings as well as dispute review board procedures.

Léonard Stoyanov is a member of the dispute resolution group. He advises clients on non-contentious contractual and corporate law matters. He also represents local and international clients before Swiss State courts and arbitral tribunals in international disputes. His practice covers a broad spectrum of commercial disputes across various industry sectors including the banking and hedge fund industry, the automotive and pharmaceutical industries and extends to assisting clients in the field of art law disputes as well as trust-law related matters. Over the years, Léonard Stoyanov has also gained extensive experience and has successfully represented and assisted clients in white collar crime investigations before the Swiss criminal authorities.
