Xiongchao (Peter) Chen is an associate with Fangda Partners’ Dispute Resolution group, with a focus on international arbitration. Peter has represented clients from a wide range of sectors including private equity, energy, AI, hospitality and manufacturing in arbitrations administered by the HKIAC and other institutions. A long-term member of the HK45, he spends most of his career so far in Hong Kong, but has also worked in London and Beijing.

Janice is a Partner in the Construction and Engineering practice in the Hong Kong office of Hogan Lovells. She has extensive experience in a wide range of contentious and non-contentious construction matters, including matters relating to contractual interpretation, defects, delay, extension of time, and payment. Janice has spoken extensively on construction and arbitration issues including on security of payment legislation, expert independence, pain/gain sharing, professional negligence and typical claims for time and money. Janice is acknowledged for her contribution to “The Annotation Ordinances of Hong Kong – Arbitration Ordinance (Cap. 609)” published in 2014 (including the 2018 and 2022 Reissue). Janice also sits on the Council of the Society of Construction Law Hong Kong.

A Hong Kong Bar Scholar, Kaiser Leung is a Barrister at Des Voeux Chambers with a predominantly arbitration and construction law practice. He acts regularly in disputes arising from large infrastructure and construction projects, including sub-sea tunnel, railway, airport, commercial and residential developments. His notable cases include acting for the MTR Corporation Limited in the Commission of Inquiry into the Construction Works at and near the Hung Hom Station Extension under the Shatin to Central Link Project. Kaiser has been recognised as a Leading Junior Counsel in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific Hong Kong Bar for Construction and Property Law and a Recommended Junior Counsel in the Doyles Guide for Leading Construction & Infrastructure Litigation Barristers – Hong Kong.

Dominique Yong is a Senior Associate (qualified in New South Wales, Australia and Hong Kong) in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team at Clifford Chance. She specialises in international arbitration and has acted as counsel and tribunal secretary in various institutional and ad hoc arbitrations, as well as related court proceedings, with particular expertise in the finance, private equity and aeronautical sectors.

Kitty Zheng is an associate in Shearman & Sterling’s International Arbitration Group. She frequently acts as counsel in commercial disputes and investment treaty arbitrations, including proceedings conducted under the auspices of the HKIAC, ICC and ICSID. Her experience includes disputes related to energy, construction, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and investment funds. She also represents parties in arbitration-related court proceedings as well as dispute review board procedures. Kitty receives her J.D. degree from New York University and is qualified in New York.

Sui-Hang is a Senior Managing Associate at Sidley Austin’s Global Arbitration, Trade and Advocacy group. He is dual-qualified in Hong Kong and New York. Sui-Hang’s practice focuses on international arbitration and commercial litigation. He has represented clients in a variety of commercial disputes involving renewable energy, biopharmaceuticals, cryptocurrency, investment funds, financial services, private equity and hedge funds. Sui-Hang has extensive experience acting in arbitrations under major institutional rules, including HKIAC, ICC, SIAC, UNCITRAL and JAMS Rules, as well as proceedings before the Hong Kong courts and tribunals. Sui-Hang previously served as a Judicial Assistant at the Court of Final Appeal, the highest appellate court in Hong Kong. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Franklin is a Judicial Associate at the Court of Appeal, a qualified Hong Kong solicitor, and a CEDR and HKMAAL accredited mediator. In 2017, Franklin served as a Judicial Assistant at the Court of Final Appeal, the highest appellate court in Hong Kong. Prior to his return to the judiciary in 2021, Franklin was an associate at an international law firm where he was involved in investigative litigation and arbitration work. Franklin was named by LexisNexis on their list of “40 Under 40” in 2023. He enjoys volunteering and pro bono work and was awarded accolades including from the Chief Secretary for Administration's Office; the Judiciary; and the Law Society of Hong Kong.
