Overview

Proposed revisions to the PRC Arbitration Law were released last year, being the first attempt to substantially update the law since its promulgation in 1994.  In this session, our speakers will take a deep dive into the proposed revisions and look at how they compare with the current status, featuring commonly asked questions such as:

  • Are parties allowed to choose a foreign arbitral institution?
  • Will there be greater use of emergency arbitrators?
  • Will there be any changes to the enforcement process?
  • How similar or different will Mainland Chinese arbitrations be from Hong Kong arbitrations if the proposed revisions are passed?
