Brigitte Stern is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Paris. She regularly serves as arbitrator in investment treaty arbitrations and international commercial arbitrations. She is a member of the ICSID Panel of Conciliators and Arbitrators, designated by Georgia, and a member of the Panelists of the WTO, designated by France. She has acted as expert and international legal adviser for States and various organisations. Professor Stern was also a member and Vice-President of the United Nations Administrative Tribunal, and of the ADB and ATBIS Tribunals. She has appeared as counsel before the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal and before the International Court of Justice.
