Simon leads the disputes practice in Greater China and focuses on international arbitration and arbitration-related litigation. A specialist advocate, he appears regularly as lead counsel before tribunals in the world's foremost arbitration centres, including Hong Kong, Singapore and London.

Simon's practice covers investment treaty and commercial arbitration under all of the major arbitral rules, including ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, LCIA, ICSID and UNCITRAL. He has particular expertise in complex and high-value disputes, notably claims in fraud and breach of warranty, as well as post-M&A, joint venture and shareholder disputes. He has acted for governments, state-owned entities, sovereign wealth funds and corporations across a range of industries, including the energy, private equity, finance, hospitality and TMT sectors.

Simon is ranked as a leading individual in all of the key directories and is recommended as a global leader in international arbitration by Who's Who Legal. In addition to his work as counsel, Simon also sits as arbitrator and has experience as presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator across a range of institutional and ad hoc cases.

Sarah Grimmer is Secretary-General of Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. She was formerly Senior Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) where she acted as registrar in several inter-State arbitrations under the Law of the Sea Convention and served as tribunal secretary in multiple investment treaty arbitrations and contract-based claims.

Prior to joining the PCA, Sarah served as Assistant Counsel at the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris. She was also a member of the international arbitration group at Shearman & Sterling LLP in Paris, prior to which she worked in private practice in Auckland. In 2015, Sarah was appointed to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon Disciplinary Board. She is a member of the ICCA-ASIL Task Force on Damages (2016), ICCA Publications Committee (2015), the IBA Investment Arbitration Subcommittee (2014), New Zealand ICC Arbitration Committee (2014), and the IBA Arb40 Steering Committee (2013).

Vivien is the chair and co-founder of the Asia Crypto Alliance, an industry association that promotes a sustainable eco-system for Virtual Asset Service Providers in Asia. She is also a Senior Advisor on StashAway, a digital wealth management platform with more than USD 1bn of assets under management, and a Board Advisor on Fusang, Asia's first fully regulated Digital Securities Exchange.

After a long career in senior compliance and regulatory roles, Vivien joined BitMEX one of the leading crypto derivatives exchanges in 2019, where she served as the Chief Operating Officer and Interim CEO. Prior to BitMEX, Vivien spent nearly two decades in Goldman Sachs where she was a Managing Director overseeing Compliance in Asia Ex-Japan. Vivien also spent time as a regulator at the HK Securities and Futures Commission in the Corporate Finance Division.

An ardent advocate for diversity and inclusion, Vivien is the founder of Digital Female Leadership Network and co-founder of SatoshiWomen, both of which provide education, inspiration and connections to women interested in the digital assets space.

Karen is Managing Director and General Counsel of BC Technology Group. Prior to joining BC Technology Group, Karen held a senior compliance role at a global crypto derivatives exchange. Before entering the digital assets industry, Karen was senior legal counsel at Goldman Sachs for almost 15 years advising the private wealth management business in the Asia Pacific region. Karen is a founding member of the Digital Women Leadership Network. Karen graduated from the University of Oxford, and is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and in Hong Kong.
