Overview

Women in Arbitration (WIA) is pleased to launch the "WIA Coffee Roulette 2025" series, a platform for arbitration practitioners worldwide to connect with each other and engage in cross-cultural exchange. The events will be held every two months via Zoom or hybrid.

 

Each event will have two parts:

 

  1. A 30-minute plenary discussion between a WIA host and a guest speaker.
  2. Followed by a 30-minute networking sessionParticipants attending in person will be paired for a private and informal chat. Online participants will be paired in Zoom breakout room for a private and informal chat.

Bebe Pui Ying Chu, SBS is a former Justice of the Court of First Instance, High Court HKSAR, and she is the first member on the List of Neutrals of Des Voeux Chambers. Bebe brings a wealth of experience from her recent retirement as a key member of the judiciary in Hong Kong. With over 20 years of expertise in family law, she served as a judge of the Family Court, HKSAR, and later as the Principal Family Court Judge. Apart from her expertise in family law Bebe is highly regarded for her knowledge in legal areas such as contract, property and land, trust, probate and inheritance. She was appointed a member of The International Hague Network of Judges in relation to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and has also sat as an additional judge of the Court of Appeal. Bebe is also on the Roll of Honour of The Law Society of Hong Kong.
