Prof. Hong-Sik (Justin) Chung is a full-time law professor in civil law based country as well as a common law experienced practitioner, and teaches international business laws, private international law and international arbitration since 2006 when he joined Chung-Ang Univ. School of Law based in Seoul, KOREA. He also has an ample experience of legal practice in the United States, particularly in the fields of commercial litigation, corporate law, M&A, and international business transactions, before he joined the law school.

Prof. Chung is particularly active in the fields of construction and infrastructure development overseas for which he has edited/published numerous books and articles. As a founding president, he has been successfully running Korean Society of International Construction & Energy Law since 2013. The Society has grown to have more than 450 professionals from industries of overseas construction and infrastructure development, energy and finance as well as lawyers of major domestic and international firms in Korea.

Prof. Chung regularly serves as sole arbitrator or co-arbitrator in various types of international arbitration cases, ranging from construction to various commercial arbitrations. Prof. Chung is one of panel of arbitrations in HKIAC and KCAB International.

Kelly is a counsel in the Dispute Resolution Team, based in the Hong Kong office of Hill Dickinson. Kelly is qualified in Hong Kong. She is also an accredited mediator.

Kelly practices the wide range of civil and commercial litigation and international arbitration including cases governed under the rules of Korean Commercial Arbitration Board, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague. She also regularly advises on the non-contentious matters in relation to the share purchase involving multinational bond/shares subscriptions, due diligence and general compliance matters. Kelly has acted for various Korean shipping companies over ship sale and purchase.

Her clients include government authorities, banks and the leading Korean companies in the various industries across hotel and resort, medical clinic, fashion retail, cosmetics, art galleries and education.

Kellie Yi is Counsel of HKIAC and Chief Representative of Seoul Office.

Prior to joining HKIAC, Kellie was a Registered Foreign Lawyer at Allen & Overy’s international arbitration team based out of the Hong Kong office. Kellie also worked as senior in-house counsel at Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea where she managed international arbitration and cross border litigation as well as transactional work. Kellie also previously worked at an international law firm in the U.S. and clerked for Hon. Judge Harold R. DeMoss Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.


Kellie’s experience in international arbitration spans Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia as well as all major institutional rules and UNCITRAL proceedings. She has specialised in construction and commercial disputes including those arising under EPC contracts, procurement and security agreements, joint ventures and related supply and finance agreements for major international projects.
