Prof. Hong-Sik (Justin) Chung is a full-time law professor in civil law based country as well as a common law experienced practitioner, and teaches international business laws, private international law and international arbitration since 2006 when he joined Chung-Ang Univ. School of Law based in Seoul, KOREA. He also has an ample experience of legal practice in the United States, particularly in the fields of commercial litigation, corporate law, M&A, and international business transactions, before he joined the law school.
Prof. Chung is particularly active in the fields of construction and infrastructure development overseas for which he has edited/published numerous books and articles. As a founding president, he has been successfully running Korean Society of International Construction & Energy Law since 2013. The Society has grown to have more than 450 professionals from industries of overseas construction and infrastructure development, energy and finance as well as lawyers of major domestic and international firms in Korea.
Prof. Chung regularly serves as sole arbitrator or co-arbitrator in various types of international arbitration cases, ranging from construction to various commercial arbitrations. Prof. Chung is one of panel of arbitrations in HKIAC and KCAB International.
