Understanding Chinese State-Owned Entities

In today's global marketplace, State-owned entities (SoEs) are increasingly involved in cross-border commercial and investment activity. This is especially so with the implementation of China's outbound investment programme, the Belt & Road Initiative, in which Chinese SoEs are playing a leading role. The increased involvement of SoEs in cross-border commercial and investment activity gives rise to important issues concerning the nature of SoEs, business risk management, and dispute resolution.

The Secretary for Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Teresa Cheng GBS SC JP will deliver a keynote speech. Experts will discuss the legal issues relevant to doing business and resolving disputes with Chinese SoEs.
